I am a native Tennesseean who lived and worked in Maryland at the head of the Chesapeake Bay for 35 years.  In 1966 I went to a decoy show in Salisbury on the eastern shore of Maryland.  There I saw hand carved decoys and a few decorative bird carvings made by area artists.  I liked what I saw and became hooked on a new hobby. After that I would carve birds whenever I had the time.  After over forty years I'm still carving birds.

People seem to like my work and folks from a wide area collect my carvings.
